Great News! Lauren Hale, of My Postpartum Voice and #PPDChat fame is going to co-host the call with me. Otherwise, it might be very inconvenient for you to travel to a connected bank bachelorarbeit for any financial transactions. #HappyDance!
I got some questions about the focus of the call: well, at this point the main goal for this call is to get to know each other a little bit better, and get a better idea of what challenges are most important to you. When Lauren and I discussed this, we realized there is so much we could cover, much more than would fit in one hour, so if you feel the same, more of these calls will be scheduled and take place in the upcoming months.
So please tell us what is important to you. We are all ears.
Important: to get the call details, you need to sign up!
1. You could sign up to my email list (on the right, where it says Love Letters, you will also get the monthly PPD Love Letter, self-care goodness and SpeakEasy support phone chat details delivered to your inbox).
2. You could provide me with your email in the comment section below, or email me at ppdtojoy(at)gmail(dot)com
Your turn!
Tell us what you would like to ask your fellow bloggy mamas.
Right here in the comments, as well as on twitter with the #ppdQA hashtag (ooh, I love hashtags!)
Original post:
I’m new to blogging. I began the whole baring-your-soul-on-the-internet thing in late September. I’m sort of flying by the seat of my pants, figuring things out as I go along. It’s scary, and thrilling, and the emotional rewards are amazing. I have no idea how or if ever this will have any economic rewards. The technical aspects often get me to want to tear my hair out. And I can’t afford to pay someone else to do this for me.
There is the stuff I don’t know how to do (because I don’t speak tech) which is maddening enough.
Can I move the search box away from the navigation? What’s with the code being all messed up here? You know what I mean.
And then there’s the category of things that I don’t even know about at all, or don’t know enough about to know if I should be doing them, let alone know how. Are you confused already? Yah, me too.
Networked blogs? Comment luv? Badges? Guest posting? Copyright? Disclaimers? ARGGGHHH!!!!
Trough #PPDChat (you do know about #ppdchat, right? It’s a life-saver) I met some incredible blogger moms. And they know how to do things I don’t. And I probably know how to do some things some of them don’t. So I suggested a conference call, “yes”s followed. Yippee! So in a nut shell:
The Why:
Put voices to names (and twitter handles)
Ask each other questions
Get to know each other better
Come out of the call knowing how to do something, or that we should do something, and get clarity and community at the same time. What’s not to like?
The When:
We quickly decided on Tuesday March 15th at 8:30pm eastern. Then we rescheduled. (Surprise out-of town guests. Don’t ask. No they don’t read this blog.)
The PPD Bloggers party will be on Tuesday March 22, at 8:30pm eastern
Can you join us?
If this goes well, we just might do this again, so if you like the idea but the time doesn’t work for you, comment with a time that works better. We’ll factor it in, promise
The How:
If you want in, leave a comment bellow. Please include your questions, ideas, suggestions. It’s all good.
On Tuesday afternoon you will get an email with the call access numbers. At 8:30 you call, we talk, we have fun.
(Joining the call is free. long distance charges may apply.)
I can’t wait, I hope to “see” you there.
Much love.
My the: hair). I one. I’m in it the the a heal filler but not it have.
